In order to stem the rising tide of drug abuse and addiction in Kentucky, Attorney General Andy Beshear announced that he wants to see more regulations for clinics distributing the drug Suboxone. Suboxone is a treatment option for addicts seeking to safely withdraw from opioid addiction.

Many individuals ask, "what is Suboxone?" Suboxone is a drug that is often used for the treatment of opioid addiction. This could be for drugs such as heroin or even over the counter medications such as morphine and oxycodone. Suboxone is combination of two different drugs: buprenorphine (an opioid activator) and naloxone (an opioid antagonist).
